Hello. I bought a few CORBA books for C++ when I was given a project
to do, but the project was cancelled early and most of my CORBA books
sit on my shelf collecting dust for several years now.

I need to clear my shelf for new programming books and new technologies
to gather dust. I'm wondering if I should get rid of these CORBA books
or not?

I guess what I'm asking is whether it's worthwhile to put the time to
learn CORBA or has CORBA been supplanted by better/simpler new tech,
which is worth learning first before dusting off the CORBA covers?

Anyways thanks.

On the web, COBRA has obviously been supplanted by new buzzwords
such as SOAP. But I am sure that there remains a number of
application domains that still rely on it.
In what field are you working?

In any case, this question belongs to comp.object.corba ,
not in this NG dedicated to the C++ language.
