|
|
===================================== MODERATOR'S COMMENT:
The answers to questions about C++ history are in "The Design and
Evolution of C++" by Bjarne Stroustrup, available in fine bookstores
everywhere. :-)
===================================== END OF MODERATOR'S COMMENT
I saw someone observe today that since 'class' and 'struct' are
so similar, why did anyone bother to introduce the 'class'
keyword?
Did the two have a substantially different meaning early in the
evolution of C++ ? If so, when was 'struct' modified to have its
current meaning?
